Abstract
Clinical application of ultrasonic image is wide. This paper researched the speckle noise suppression and image segmentation. Anisotropic diffusion filter a new filter is used to suppress the speckles. The traditional diffusion coefficient of anisotropic diffusion filer is proposed by Perona and Malik. This paper presented an improved coefficient to adapt the ultrasound image. The result verified the improved coefficients can suppress the speckle noise very effective and retain texture information. After filtering, the ultrasound image segmentation is perfect.
