Abstract :
High-efficient iron-based deodorant was prepared by using pyrite slag. Its deodorizing properties were studied in the laboratory and the optimal technical conditions were determinated. As a practical example, the "chemical absorption + deodorant adsorption" joint treatment process was selected to clean odour from wastewater treatment plant in a pharmaceutical company, in which the self-prepared iron-based deodorant was applied as the sorbent in the adsorption stag. The results showed that when the inlet concentration of H2S of the adsorption box was 86 - 198 mg/m3, the outlet concentration of H2S was 6.1 - 7.2 mg/m3, the removal rate of H2S reached to above 92%. The iron-based deodorant had better practical application value in removing odour including H2S from pharmaceutical wastewater treatment plant.
