Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to artfully incorporate the so-called magnetic steering (MS) winding, into the AF flux-switching DC-field (AF-FSDC) machine, leading to create the MS-AF-FSDC machine, purposely for the ED applications. The MS-field winding is purposely installed in a way to interlock the field excitations between the two sided-windings, hence achieving higher stability and safety for the ED system, when turning the angle.
