Abstract
Summary form only given. In this paper, calculations of the reflectivity and backscattering cross-section, in the microwave frequency range, of a one atmosphere glow discharge plasma are presented. The polarization of the incident wave, the grazing angle, the plasma number density, and the geometrical shape and size of the plasma, are the variable parameters in our investigations. The results are presented in convenient plots of the reflectivity or backscattering cross-section versus one parameter, while the other parameters are kept constant.
