Abstract
High power electronics has an increasing scope and important role to play for enabling renewable generation, efficiency improvement, electric energy storage. Scope of these applications is a function of cost, losses, weight and size of power electronics, and this paper describes Power Electronics Building Block (PEBB) concept, as an strategy for achieving these objectives. This paper also describes IEEE activity on PEBB concept.
