Abstract
During the two SIR-C/X-SAR flights in April and October 1994 a unique and exciting data set of multifrequency/multipolarization synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery of the ocean surface was acquired. The key ocean features seen in the SAR imagery include ocean swell, internal waves, oceanic fronts, eddies, current features, and atmospheric induced phenomena, including atmospheric fronts and rain cells. Some examples of SIR-C/X-SAR images acquired over the ocean are presented
