Abstract :
In order to satisfy the demand of rapid growth of multimedia applications in mobile ad hoc network (MANET), this paper proposed an improved QoS routing algorithm based on AODV. It adopted the mechanism of intermediate request returning, selected flooding, and local route recovery. Results from extensive performance simulation of the proposed protocol demonstrate that it reduces the control overhead and route searching time, and provides the QoS routing stability in dynamic mobile ad hoc networks.
