            Abstract :
A new switched-current memory cell, called S3I, is presented. It operates with the same two-step principle of earlier S2I but produces a virtual earth input voltage on both coarse and fine sampling phases. Simulated performance at 80 MS/s gives a precision which will allow filters with perhaps an order of magnitude higher Q-factor and converters with 2-3 bits higher resolution than has been possible hitherto with S2I
