Abstract
We propose an active surface model which is controlled by an affine transformation. Our proposed algorithm is insensitive to the initial position and has benefit to fitting and tracking the boundary of deformable objects. The active surfaces initialized, and minimized by the previous variational methods using the finite difference. Then affine deformations between deformed surface and predeformed surface is calculated by the deterministic least square fits using the corresponding points. Our proposed algorithm is applied to the synthetic binary data points using an ellipsoid as initial surfaces and the results are also presented
