Abstract :
The verification, validation and accreditation (VV&A) approach for wargames that use the Wargame 2000 System is based on the Defense Modeling and Simulation Office (DMSO) VV&A Recommended Practices Guide (RPG). It builds on information collected during the system development and qualification, supplemented where required, to create the accreditation package for each wargame. This paper reviews application of the RPG to VV&A for wargame simulations that use the Wargame 2000 System. The Wargame 2000 System under development by the Joint National Test Facility (JNTF) for the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization (BMDO), is a real-time, interactive, parallel discrete-event, command and control missile and air defense simulation. It provides a simulated combat environment for the war fighting commanders, their staffs, and the acquisition community. The goal of VV&A is to establish the acceptability of models and simulations for their intended
