Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to find the effective control of bacterial and fungal bioaerosol in a gymnasium. Airborne bacteria and fungi were collected using the 6-stage Andersen impactor inside and outside of gymnasium. Purification method is to install HEPA filters at air inlet. It was found that the total concentrations of outdoor airborne bacteria and fungi were 895CFU/m3 and 1505CFU/m3 around the gymnasium in Beijing in summer. The total levels of bacterial and fungal aerosol indoors were averaged to 831CFU/m3 in the case of no one, and in the case of some one is 1860CFU/m3. Before and after the setting of the purifier the total levels of bacterial and fungal aerosol indoors were 1216CFU/m3 and 1860CFU/m3. Outside of the gymnasium the bacterial aerosols and the fungal aerosols showed the highest collection rates at F-1, F-3 stage and F-4, F-5 stage separately, while inside of the gymnasium at F-4, F-5 stage contemporary.
