The variance and the bias of direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimates for the coherent subspace methods, which uses the focusing operators in wideband processing, are derived. Some practical methods of estimating the coherent signal subspace are given and compared. Simulations and the statistical performance study, including the bias and variance are given
