Abstract :
Summary form only given. DECADE Module 1 (DM1) is a prototype module for the DECADE nuclear weapons effects simulator. It uses a plasma opening switch (POS) with an inductive energy store for the final stage of pulse compression. Current research is intended to improve operation of the prototype from the present level of 11 to 12 kRad(Si), projected to a 16 module DECADE system, to 20 kRad(Si).
