  • Abstract
Transportation division plays an important role of emission of carbon dioxide. Improvement of fuel efficiency is a direct and valid approach for solving the above-mentioned problem. For decreasing the fuel consumption of vehicles moving on highway, the proper driving strategies are essential. In this paper, an optimization method for vehicle fuel-efficient driving strategies on highway is proposed. We deal properly with the decision-making of driving strategies as the combination problem and use the MAX-MIN ant system to optimize the vehicle speed and acceleration commands. The ADVISOR (Advanced Vehicle Simulator) software is used to calculate the vehicle dynamics.
