Abstract
Narrowband interference migration is of specific importance in delay hopped transmitted reference ultra wideband (DHTR-UWB) communication systems. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm for narrowband interference mitigation in aforementioned systems. The method is based on eigen analysis of the signal-plus-noise-plus-interference subspace. To this end, we first outline a complete system and data model for DHTR-UWB scheme and then base our algorithm on its (linear) structure. The algorithm extracts the interference signal and cancels it out form the received signal. Monte-Carlo simulations demonstrate the considerable superiority of the performance of proposed algorithm (in terms of BER) over other counterparts in other literature without requiring training sequences or initial phase.
