Abstract :
A high-performance standard cell library has been developed for a BiCMOS (bipolar complementary metal-oxide semiconductor) process which is completely modular in construction. This library provides the capability of integrating mixed analog, digital, and EEPROM (electrically erasable programmable read-only memory) circuitry in a combination of CMOS and bipolar technologies on a single substrate. Any features of the available technologies which are not required by a particular design can be omitted from the fabrication process without changing the characteristics of the remaining structures. This library and associated design methodology provide single chip solutions for systems operating from 3 to 17 volts and from -55°C to +125°C
