Abstract :
This paper presents research and implementation related to building a new kind of end user device -- the home gateway. The device can replace ADSL routers but also offer a considerable amount of additional functionality. Specifically, the device described in this paper can serve as L2 policy edge, active probing client/server and passive process of packet capture and analysis.
