Abstract :
Research into the performance of automatically driven beamformers is described, and the problems which must be investigated before their performance can be predicted with confidence are identified. Early simulation results support the idea that high-resolution direction finding algorithms can be used to generate dynamic steering vectors for Applebaum arrays
