Abstract :
Some Latin American companies have noticed how the advantages of RFID technology can help them to compete in the world market. The deployments of RFID technology allow reducing fabrication and transportation costs and time expended on inventories. The RFID technology permits to control companies´ production, allowing them to meet the demand in a more opportune and effective way. The main objective of this paper is to show the advances of RFID technology in Latin America. Deployments of RFID systems in Latin American companies from diverse sectors will be demonstrated to illustrate the profits provided by this technology.
