Abstract :
Clustering has been one of the effective solutions to enhance energy efficiency and scalability of large-scale wireless sensor networks. In this paper, we propose and implement Energy-driven clustering algorithm (EDCA) for wireless sensor networks based on LEACH, which introduces the remain energy of each nodes, and we used discrete event simulation tools OMNeT++ to implement our algorithm and WSNs model. Simulation results have shown that the improved algorithm has higher energy efficiency and longer survival time.
