Abstract
We present a detailed theoretical analysis for multichannel minimum shift keying (MSK) FM and linecoded frequency shift keying (FSK) using nonuniform FM laser to evaluate their relative effectiveness in a multichannel environment. The modified Monte Carlo simulation of the system using “importance sampling” technique shows that delay modulation (DM) FSK and MSK-FM perform almost equally and provide better performance than the alternate mark inversion (AMI) and Manchester coded (MC) FSK systems
