Abstract :
This paper focuses on a control application of robust fault tolerant in Wind Energy Conversion System. A robust fault tolerant control structure for variable speed fixed pitch wind turbines is presented. The approach could keep the systems asymptotically stable against actuator failures and satisfy disturbance attenuation index prescribed. The frequency separation of the short-term and the long-term variations, adopted in the wind modeling, has resulted in a two-loop control structure. The robust fault tolerant control is employed in the high-frequency-loop, and the simulation results show that the approach is effective.
