Abstract :
A new design procedure for periodic output feedback control and its application to a multivariable robust regulator problem is presented. A nonlinear model of a turbogenerator is linearized around two operating points, and a periodic feedback gain is designed which achieves specified closed loop behaviour simultaneously in each of the operating points. The design is based on a quadratic performance index, which allows one to trade performance against closeness to the original design. Experimental results show that control objectives are met in both operating points
