Abstract :
In this paper, we present the observation of nonlinear refraction in ZnS associated with three-photon absorption (3PA) at higher laser irradiances. The sample used in this study was z-cut, 0.5-mm thick ZnS single crystal. The Z-scan, pump-probe and optical-Kerr-effect (OKE) techniques with 780-nm, 120-fs laser pulses were employed to study optical nonlinearities in ZnS at room temperature
