Abstract

City innovation ability consists of the innovative environment standard, the innovative input standard, the level of innovative production, etc. Based on five indexes, the research establishes an evaluation index system of city innovation ability and selects the factor analysis model as the mathematical model of quantitative analysis. This paper has selected sample data from 2001-2009 to conduct vertical study, and then selected sample data of Shanghai, Nanjing, Suzhou and Wuxi from 2007-2008 to conduct horizontal study. By calculating the comprehensive score of these two dimensions, we evaluate the independent innovation capacity of Suzhou and its supporting significance in transformation and upgrading to draw some conclusions and put forward some suggestions.
