  • Abstract
    VSAT permits widespread utilisation of satellite communications. A novel design as well as experimental results of a dual-aperture coupled rectangular microstrip patch antenna, suitable for portable VSAT terminals, are presented. The dual-band dual-polarised antenna element achieves 20% input impedance bandwidth at S- and C-bands. The design of a planar array with such an antenna element is also presented
