Abstract :
For application to over 100-GHz millimeter-wave (mm-wave) transmitters using photonic techniques, we have designed and characterized a planar slot antenna on a Si substrate. By integrating a uni-traveling-carrier photodiode with the antenna, we have experimentally demonstrated radiation of mm-wave signals with power of >100 μW at 120 GHz
