Abstract :
A theoretical model is set up to examine the question: are the results of dielectrophoretic measurements influenced by the frequency response of the diffuse double layer in the low frequency region (<100 Hz)? Within the constraints or the model and assumptions made in this paper our results show that under the typical electrolyte concentrations that are used in experiments the frequency response of the double layer does not color the experimentally observed dielectrophoretic spectrum
