Abstract :
In this paper, monitoring the magnetic field of stator yoke of induction motor is applied to detect the eccentricity types and the position of minimum air gap. 12 search coils placed in stator yoke uniformly are proposed to obtain magnetic field indirectly. By analyzing and comparing the induced voltages of search coils, the eccentricity types and the position of minimum air gap could be detected. In particular, the determining of position of minimum air gap provides guidance for the eccentric troubleshooting.
