  • Abstract
The architecture of an RF subsystem, SPECTRUM 2000, that is partitioned and packaged in a 16-bit bus, module configuration is discussed. The receiver/exciter subsystem consists of a multicard chassis with any combination of modules and cards, depending on user requirements. A basic subsystem consists of a CH-2000 chassis, PS-2050 front panel and power supply, CP-2000 286 central processing unit (CPU), IO-2000 input/output and MM-2000 memory card, each of which is described. Descriptions of the EX-2000 exciter module, PR-2000 pre/post selector, FS-2000 frequency reference, and SP-2000 automatic link establishment (ALE) modem are presented
