Abstract
It is widely accepted that ferrite cores are attached to wires/cables to reduce the radiated emissions from electronic information devices and also to improve the system immunity, whereas these effects are not being fully clarified. In this paper, a model for three-conductor transmission lines with a ferrite core attachment was investigated. An equivalent circuit of the load effect due to the core attachment was newly derived for transmission lines consisting of parallel two-wires with the different cross-sections above a conducting ground plane, which was validated experimentally
