Abstract
This paper is based on the theory of endogenous economic growth model and VAR approach, try to provide some empirical evidence on the contribution of education on economic growth in China in 1990-2009. The study indicates that education not only has significant effect on economic growth in short term, but also playing a very important role in the long run. The education expenditure in China remains very low level, the government should invest strongly in education in order to maintain sustainable economic growth.
