Abstract :
At the Pennsylvania State University, EE 448, Linear Electronic Design, is an elective analog electronics course taught in the Department of Electrical Engineering to both seniors and beginning graduate students. At the beginning of the course three explicit goals are identified for the course and explained to the students: (1) to become familiar with the capabilities and limitations of current technology; (2) to become familiar with various classic circuit topologies that have proven useful irrespective of the technology used for implementation; and (3) to illustrate and use various analysis and design tools. EE 448 includes a laboratory component where the students actually build and debug thier proposed designs
