Abstract :
Full-duplex 60-GHz-band radio-on-fiber systems to realize simple base station (BS) configuration are presented. Two systems with the simple BS are considered. One is that an external optical modulator and a photodetector are in the BS while the system has only a single light source. Another is that the BS has only an optical transceiver. Error-free simultaneous fiber-optic transmission of 60 GHz band, 156 Mb/s DPSK down- and uplink signals is experimentally demonstrated in each system
