            Abstract : 
A numerical optimisation scheme suitable for the automatic design of microstrip stacked patch antennas is presented. This technique is used to optimise the bandwidth of broadband, circular probe-fed stacked patch antennas. Resulting performance is comparable to that achieved manually by an expert designer requiring only hours of computation on a standard PC
