Abstract :
This paper presents an in-depth investigation into the design parameters of a microstrip Yagi antenna for possible use in an indoor wireless LAN system. The investigated antenna uses an aperture coupling feeding mechanism and can be placed in a horizontal plane to communicate with the base station. The variations of return loss and gain as a function of various dimensions of this antenna are studied with the aid of a full-wave electromagnetic field analysis tool to obtain an optimal performance
