Abstract :
A novel, small winged microstrip patch antenna incorporating a single shorting post is introduced. The proposed antenna is significantly smaller than a conventional shorted patch antenna and is therefore very suited to wireless communication handsets where limited antenna size is a premium. The performance of the antenna is presented and is compliant with most cordless systems requirements
