Competency model of political instructors in the higher vocational college: Build and test

The competence constitute of vocational counselors plays a great role in the promotion of vocational counselor´s development in professionalism, specialization and proficiency. On the basis of interviews, questionnaires and statistical methods, this thesis builds and tests the vocational college counselor´s competency model. The competency model consists of eight factors as cognitive ability, service ability, influential power, professional knowledge, personality, professional skills, achievement skills and students cultivation. The confirmatory factor analysis shows good model fitting with the discrimination of the questionnaire items, the reliability and validity reaching to the high level of statistical requirements.
