Abstract :
Human face feature recognition is an important direction of the pattern recognition, and is widely used in practical applications. Because of the uncertainty of the face recognition, the impact of posture, facial expressions and the environmental, there is a lot of difficulty in recognition, and people proposed more and more identification methods in this field. This paper will introduce the development methods and technologies of the face recognition, and point out the advantages and disadvantages of these methods, including eigenface, elastic grid method, wavelet transform methods, hidden Markov method (HMM), etc. Finally this paper will point out the prospect of development trends and the future research of this technology.
