Welcome message

On behalf of the organizing committee and the international program committee, we are happy to present this Final Program and the Proceedings of the 9th IEEE International Conference on Control and Automation (IEEE ICCA 2011). Held from December 19 to 21, 2011, at the University of Chile, Santiago, Chile, IEEE ICCA 2011 is jointly organized by IEEE Control Systems Chapter, Singapore, Chilean Association of Automatic Control, ACCA (IFAC Member) and IEEE - Chile, and is technically sponsored by IEEE Control Systems Society, University of Chile, University of Santiago, P. Catholic University and Talca University. The conference aims to create a forum for scientists and practicing engineers throughout the world to present the latest research findings and ideas in the areas of control and automation. The conference program includes 36 technical sessions and 3 keynote speeches by distinguished experts in the fields, Professor Graham C. Goodwin, Professor Kumpati S. Narendra and Professor Pedro Albertos.
