Abstract :
Field analysis followed by dispersion curves of modes in a corrugated circular waveguide loaded by an azimuthally magnetized ferrite tube is presented. The main contribution of the paper is that, for the important case of circular non-symmetry, limitation on the nature of the elements of the permeability tensor is not required and results near the gyromagnetic resonance can, also, be obtained. Field components in the ferrite tube are developed in series of space harmonics, each of them expressed by special functions given by power series. In the dispersion curves comparison with former results obtained under simplification of equality of all diagonal elements of the permeability tensor is made. More realistic analysis and design of latching phase shifters are, now, possible
