Abstract :
This paper addresses the application of pseudochiral omega media in the design of NRD (NonRadiative Dielectric) directional couplers. The field displacement phenomenon influences the value of the coupling coefficient between the two coupled NRD waveguides and, therefore, the pseudochiral parameter becomes an extra degree of freedom in the coupler design. Both the slab separation and the pseudochiral parameter can be used to control the coupling between the two waveguides
