Abstract :
In this paper, we characterize a CPW to Microstrip right-angled transition with a via-hole in a frequency from 1 to 10 GHz. This CPW to Microstrip transition shows resonance due to a phase difference at the via-hole discontinuity. The air-bridge just shifting the resonance frequency can not suppress the occurrence of the slot mode, fundamentally. The proposed structure using CPW to Microstrip 180° via-hole transition and microstrip bend suppressed this resonance, effectively. The simulated results of the proposed structure shows very good insertion loss less than 0.5 dB up to 10 GHz
