Abstract
This paper proposes an application of network theory to the power divider/combiner of a three-dimensional high power amplifier (HPA) system. The characteristic behaviors of the uniplanar microstrip and waveguide structure can be estimated using this theory and software, and theoretical results are compared with the measured data at UHF band. In addition, the several rules of thumb are introduced to take into account the effect of impedance mismatching at the contact-point between the connector and the inside transmission lines in the waveguide structure
