Abstract :
A strain which was good at removing nitrogen-ammonium was isolated from the contaminated soil from refuse transfer station. Under the laboratory conditions, the strains of ammonia-N, nitrite-N, nitrate-N and the different effects of pH, temperature impact on the denitrification were tested. Experimental results show that it will have a high ammonia-nitrogen removal rate when pH is 4 to 7. The optimal temperatures of denitrification have two regional also, 20°C and 35°C. However, high temperature will affect the removal efficiency of ammonia nitrogen.
