Abstract
We present a new and efficient algorithm to generate rendered animation. With respect to the approaches known in the existing literature, our algorithm does not generate the animated sequences frame-by-frame, but it renders only the parts which change between two following frames by exploiting the frame-to-frame coherence. We show, with practical examples, the efficiency of the proposed technique. In the proposed examples the animation can be rendered, with our method, at least eight times faster than by using a straightforward frame-by-frame technique.
