Abstract :
The explosive increase in the demand for mobile communications has led to a need for the construction of a huge infrastructural mobile communications network. This mobile communications network must also provide user-oriented services such as universal personal telecommunications (UPT) services. Such a network is referred to as an intelligent digital mobile communications network (IDMN). The authors describe a hierarchical IDMN architecture based on intelligent network (IN) architecture technology. The network database configuration and pursuit transit switching capability for guaranteeing personal mobility and terminal mobility are also described
