Abstract :
This paper describes the DSTO ldquoproof of conceptrdquo radar system which has been designed to provide a basis for the testing of many of the recent advances in signal processing, and a new radar techniques have been identified in the literature. Capabilities of the radar include: true time delay beam formation, independent element transmit waveform selection, independent element receive control with up to four channels per receive element. In addition the radar will have digital adaptive beam forming and an advanced control system that operates as part of a network of sensors.
