Abstract
Widespread use of portable and mobile devices requires drastic changes in the ways the educational and training organizations deliver a courseware. The new paradigm of xLearning (where x= using any device for learning) incorporates courseware and services enabled by emerging Internet technologies in use today. This paper provides insight into the significance of the cloud and connectivity. New ways of teaching and learning requires a shift in system design in context of online teaching and learning using any portable device connected to the cloud.
