Abstract :
In practical OFDM systems, cyclic prefix insertion and channel estimation are indispensable to achieve coherent demodulation. In this paper, a linear smoothing based blind channel estimation method for OFDM systems over frequency-selective channels is presented. The proposed method does not require a cyclic prefix and thus leading to higher spectral efficiency. Compared with some existing blind methods, our newly proposed method is computationally efficient and results in good performance.
